Pizza Luce Block Party Downtown Minneapolis August 2015
From July to September you will find that Minnesota is in full community swing with events from block parties, festivals, and carnivals. Pizza Luce’s Block Party wasn’t an exception held in the beginning of August. Fun music, fun food, and fun people. The Pizza Luce Block Party is the place to be for a goodtime that doesn’t cost you anything to enter and enjoy music. As the day wore on the music went from good to great fun headlined by Har Mar Superstar, SIMS, and Rogue Valley. I’m all sensory when I go to events, so I really enjoyed that you could hear and feel the music coming from the speakers. The smell of greasy foods and sweet mix of alcohol gave off more of a festival feel. Granted you had to pay for your drinks and stand in long lines if you wanted food during peak show times, but all is worth it when you go with friends or just make some in line.
Most of the musical makers were local artists and had quite the following with crowd. Though I didn’t go to this event with anyone I still made friends and found a crowd to hang out with. (I know my life story.)
The clientele ranged from ladies and gentlemen in their early 20’s to mid 40’s. The crowd wasn’t the same old mix and that made it that much more worth it. The crowd was really great and you definitely felt like a part of the community. Since I’m pretty much a loner I found myself still having a wonderful time with strangers.
